Row The Boat

Image
Just when I thought my kids had gone through every sport possible, Viv decides to row. She comes home exhausted and sore and stinky but happy. Even with her short little legs and short little arms, she's out there working hard and loving it!  Woodson Crew - let's gooo!  Viv in "bow seat"

Summer Breck

Image
I wasn't sure if our (now) annual trip to Breckenridge was going to pan out this year, but then Maxwell made a comment to me. He said, "I know you well enough. If you want to get to Breck, you will".  Yeah. He was right.  Originally Viv and I were going to stay the weekend in Denver with Maxwell and Jordi and then head up, but Maxwell suggested we skip Denver and go straight to Breckenridge. See, it's not just me who can't stay away! We did make a quick stop in Denver though to have lunch with Jordi. She had friends in town and wasn't going to be able to get away for the weekend. Their apartment is adorable and it was great to see where Jordi's working. Gosh, do I love seeing she and Maxwell together!  And then to the mountains... Hoosier Pass  The rest of the week it was just Viv and I, so our hikes were shorter and our shopping days were longer with more stops for snacks and wine.  Cucumber Gulch  We had an absolutely incredible dinner at  Radicato Highl

Fourth of July Weekend

Henry came home! It was a super quick visit - enough time to shop and hike - but totally worth it. He was back on a plane at noon on the 4th and by the time fireworks started that night, Matt, Viv and I were eating ice cream in our pajamas and in bed by 10:00. It was the perfect ending to a long weekend! Old Rag Trailhead  The National Arboretum
