My biggest worry coming back to Virginia from Texas was leaving my mom behind. Not in the physical sense, but in the sense that there were so many signs from her back home. The cardinals, the hummingbirds, the rosaries that I found in every drawer, the seat in her car moving me into her position every time I drove it. Those all felt like little reminders that she was with me.  Coming back here, I worried that she wouldn't follow me.  I know that's not how it works, but these days my heart and my mind aren't connecting the way they did before August 10th. I am eternally grateful for every single person that loved them enough to make the trip.  Watching Henry and Vivian throughout the week be exactly what Maxwell needed, when he needed it. And then to see them stand up beside him as he said he his vows. And then to hear them speak so beautifully and eloquently during the ceremony and at the reception. I know Matt and I raised them in the way we had intended.  Tuesday 7/7 A Rainy Day in Provincetown Wednesday 7/8 A Morning at Cold Storage Beach  followed by lunch at LandHo with Eric, Kiley and the girlies Thursday 7/9 Ladies Happy Hour  Beers With The Groom at Hog Island Brewery everyone back at the house!
