Five-Oh
For months before my birthday Matt and the kids and my girlfriends were all asking what I wanted to do for my 50th. I know it's considered a "milestone" birthday, but making big plans with a big party or a big girls trip seemed a little over the top and honestly, kind of unnecessary. I didn't feel like I was about to jump into a new chapter or that I needed to mark one occasion in order to leave another behind. I don't know, it's hard to explain, but turning 50 felt like a simple continuation of really good thing. It felt easy and natural. All of that being said, Matt wasn't going to let 50 slip by unnoticed.
