The Graduate

What can I say...the day came to be. Our baby, our littlest little, graduated from high school. I've said "I'm so proud" endlessly, and every single time, I've meant it more than the time before.   In the last 13 years she's been in 8 different schools. She walked into each one with nervous excitement and the same sweet smile she had as a kindergartner.  My girl, I am so proud. Every moment of every day, I am so proud of you.  First day of kindergarten  September 2013 Last day of high school  May 2026  Joint grad party!  May 31, 2026  Best of friends... both heading to Pittsburgh in the fall!  Duquesne roommates!  Graduation Day  June 4, 2026  Viv wore each of her grandmas' rings to the ceremony

Virginia STATES 2026

Two weeks ago Viv and her boat were 3rd place finishers in the STATE OF VIRGINIA!! For Viv, all of the blood, sweat and tears (very literally) culminated in that weekend and in that medal.  There was so much that happened this season and for a time, the unecessary outside noise got the better of Viv. She questioned her athletic ability and even her own character.  But, true to my girl, she didn't sit in that too long. She dusted herself off and re-focused on what mattered to her and to the other 8 girls in her boat. The Constellation finished the season as the most decorated Woodson womens boat of the season and the only one to medal at States! That's how you end a season, Viv!!!
