Mom and Dad, Thank you for showing up. Not just for traveling here to be with us for Thanksgiving, but for really showing up. I know this trip wasn't easy to make. I know you were tired and that my house is always too cold. I know that stairs aren't your favorite; especially when they're at every turn. But still, you showed up, like you always have. You spent time talking to the kids and asking about the things that are important to them. Work, school, girlfriends, sports. You covered it all. Life has evolved in funny ways, but some things have stayed the same. Pablo, you still make them shake their heads and laugh and say in a deep, guttural voice, "GRANDPA!!". Mom, giving them a blessing before saying goodbye isn't lost on any of us. And making those cranberries doesn't hurt either. I love you both and appreciate you more than I can put into words. Thank you for showing up and for loving us like you always have. One picture. Trying to take one good
