It was a great day for racing! St. Andrew's School was where the movie Dead Poets Society was filmed, so the setting was beautiful but the fast boats were even better! And the Woodson women were FAST!! I'm so proud of Vivian. Last week was spring break but her team practiced every day, twice a day. Five hours total on the water was no joke. It poured rain 2 of the 5 days, and one of those day they rowed 16 miles. Viv said it was the most miserable day she'd ever had. Cold, wet and sore all week. Yet on race day... ...she smiled. That's my girl. this was after her first race when she looked over and saw her best friend had come to surprise her! happy tears!!! she had no idea AB and her mom would be there! best friends since kindergarten...they've come full circle! another first place finish!! Let's gooooo Woodson!!
