Virginia Is For Hansons

A few weeks ago Matt and I had a private tour of the West Wing. To be totally honest, I was not looking forward it given the current tenant, but we were invited and soooo...we went.  I did have to give myself a pep talk before going. I had to be very intentional and remember that the White House does not belong to the person who lives there. It belongs to us as a nation and it is steeped in history. As we were walking through the hallways and pathways, all I could think was if the walls could talk, what a story they would tell.  We weren't allowed to take many pictures  but the grounds were beautiful  The Press Room was probably my favorite part Why not act the part in the Press Room?!

I was in St. Simon's Island one month ago, but to be honest, it feels like it was a year ago. Lots of life has happened since then, which makes me even more thankful I went on this trip.  The island and the wedding were beautiful but spending the weekend with my mom, and seeing her happy and laughing with her brother and sister, was priceless.  September 6, 2025   

The littlest little turned 18 last month and her birthday wish was to celebrate with her friends in the Outer Banks. Matt and I would do anything for this sweet girl of ours... ...and while Viv and the girls did their thing,  Matt and I enjoyed a little vacay of our own... hosting birthday parties sure is different these days!
