Road Trips

Matt and I have squeezed in all the road trips and TDY's possible before the start of Viv's race season. 

I met Yolande in Tuscaloosa to see Henry and Morne last month, and then in New York City for fun with Mary last weekend. This coming weekend Matt will go visit Maxwell and Jordi and then weekends will be all about Viv and Woodson Rowing!

In the last 20 years we've vacationed with the Shirley's throughout the world. Hawaii, Texas, Colorado, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands and Costa Rica.  Alaska 2024 did not disappoint.  Mount Rainier  flying into Seattle  Friday morning in Seattle Embarkation!  Royal Caribbean Ovation of the Seas  Tad's gift for all the boys... the official start of vacation  Dinner 1 - SHanson party of 11 Day and night at sea  Bigs and littles first breakfast together squeezed into one room \ Trivia Bionic Bar was a favorite of the Bigs  Juneau  Mount Roberts hike  Skagway Jordi and the boys hiked Upper Dewey Lake...   ...and Jennie and I took the girls to the top of a glacier to dog sled...via a helicopter! Jennie, Ella and Grace took off first  Cara, Viv and I followed the dog camp below  back to town for wine and more crab legs  White out for the evening... ...stalking the kids at the bar... Endicott Arm and Dawes Glacier...

Friends and Football

A couple of weeks a go I was back in Texas for our annual Kollweiler Reunion and to celebrate Mary's 60th (!!) birthday! There is nothing like the four of us together for a weekend...in the Texas wine country no less!  The same weekend that I was in Fredericksburg Henry was with his friends in Baton Rouge for the Alabama win! Roll Tide!!

Here We Go

Here we go...the first college visit for our last little Hanson! Whew, how did we get here?? Viv loved everything about Elon, but kind of the way she loves everything about life. It really was an impressive school though. The size is perfect, it has a great nursing program and a beautiful campus.  Who knows where she'll end up, but Elon sure did set the bar high.  From North Carolina we went to South Carolina to visit the Hansons Matt and Maureen on her birthday And maybe the best part of long weekend was a Buccee's stop! Totally worth the price of admission!
